Just lock your car well and don't leave things on the seat (probably equally applies to Pta as well). Maybe get a device that fits over your steering wheel that is visible through the window. If you can park off street, so much better

If you're going to be working at OM then lunch won't be a problem...they've got a wide range of shops on the campus. Basically a little shopping center, complete with a gym.
 
Lol For the last time, I won't be working at "The Green Giant". But I like the sound of the place. Is anyone allowed into their campus?

Yes and no. But I spoke to some people there and it's not as bad as I thought.

On the topic of CT gals, what turns me off, and not to stereotype, is the accent and that most of them already come with kids. :P

My family lives in Pinelands, I work in Pinelands, I live in Devil's Peak, and I play in a band that rehearses in town. 'Kill City Blues' is the best rehearsal space around (4 rooms), fairly vibrant, varied band scene..
Wouldn't stay anywhere else in SA.
 
Mitchell's Plain, Lavender Hill, Hanover Park, Bontehuwel, Heideveld, Elsies River, Kensington. Places you might drive through during the day with the windows up tight, but you'll soon learn where it is ok to go.

Lansdowne and areas like Southfield, Ottery are all mixed nowadays. You might get a really nice house, well kept garden, etc and next door is a run-down wood and iron shack. You won't get this in Pinelands, Bergvliet through Mowbray, any of the suburbs around Milnerton and Table View or the Atlantic coast. But of course you pay for this, houses are double the price

As the estate agents say, position position position.
 
Will look around for a few months and investigate the areas. How are property prices compared to Gauteng?

Yeah I already decided. Just going to negotiate for a little more $$$ and sign the forms next week. When they asked how much I wanted, i said about the same as I'm earning now- they offered exactly what i'm earning now lol. I just didn't want to sound greedy.
 
Just ask for additional benefits, then you don't sound too greedy if you want to up your salary. Ask for living allowance, travel allowance, women allowance, booze allowance, unknown expense allowance....
