what would you recommend i buy? simple and the cheapest. like i said im close to high site 300m or so, one or two tree in the way.

as far as i know the POE adapter is included, just make sure from scoop - you can mail [email protected] for a quote.

every person on the wug is responsible to keep their antivirus up to date (just like on the internet) as well as firewall or secure their home LAN (just like on the internet).

protz, i was pulling your leg when you said you don't have any protection but antivirus
202 users connected to PTAWUG from inception on 28 Aug 2007 to 10 Dec 2008.

I would like to thank everyone that helped:
- by promoting the network
- struggling with routing issues,
- carried tools and antennas up mountains
- got burnt by the sun fixing highsites
- risked life and limb climbing towers to install equipment
- did signal tests at prospective users
- tanne for organising us our great PTAWUG branded tshirts, hoodies, caps, mugs and stickers
- normal users that expand their equipment on their roofs (or put up 15m towers in the backyard) so others can connect through them
- our suppliers miro.co.za and scoop.co.za for providing wuggers with easy access to equipment
- organisations like myadsl.co.za that took a positive intrest in PTAWUG and helped with promotion and donations

Just remember, there is NO internet on this. As pointed out, it's a TCP/IP network on which you can do almost anything!
