People need a foolproof youtube video on how to assemble a kit, from bits and pieces to complete kit.

So, very recently moved to Pretoria and want to hook up to the WUG. Currently, according the the plotter, my area isn't covered, which is quite weird as we have a fairly nice view. We live in a building just about next to Steve Biko hospital. I assume the plotted data in the .kmz file is up to date and thus I'm just plain out of luck?

Hi Messugga
A while ago the database had some corruption/crash can't remeber exactly and not all the coverage have been fixed again. There is coverage in the general area but might depend on exactly where you are located if you can connect.
What is your location name then I can have a look when I have time I also live in the area.

So, is there an easy way for me to test whether I will be able to connect, without buying all the gear? I know most of the time you guys suggest getting someone else in to help, but my schedule's fairly rough and I don't like inconveniencing people, so I'd feel better about doing it myself.
Oh, and for the record, we're on the third floor, so trees and such aren't an issue. If push come to shove, I can get something set up in an apartment on the other side of the building, that has a view more to the South, or even something on a balcony on the 7th floor, which has a very nice view, I'm willing to say.
