Project Hulk promotion

I have two questions:

  1. [*]Is there any consideration to providing a 12 month contract?
[*]Why not consider a prepaid option?

For (1) this should be available at slightly higher price per month as your customers are committing to a shorter period; say R220/month. More revenue to 8ta then.

For (2) you could offer a one-year contract for say R2000 up front or R3800 (upfront) for 2 years. It would be less than the per month contract rate as you have your money in advance. This would enable 8ta to use the cash immediately. In this regard you actually open the market up people with volatile incomes, students etc. In aggregate more revenue to 8ta as your potential market is larger. Both suggestions are win-win, so why not just do it?

I think that many members of myBB would appreciate a response to this.
I will forward these suggestions to our development team.
Thank you

@ 8ta rep :

I live in the white hole between Sandton and Rosebank on your map (along Oxford/Rivonia Road).

Is there any chance of coverage in this area soon ? ie is it worth getting this offer (while it lasts) betting on you improving your coverage in what is a prime area ?

Anyone know what speed the R349 modem supports on uplink? is it the Huawei E173? 8.ta rep? or is it the Huawei E157 for R349?

But how do I know whether I have coverage before I sign - I am in a borderline area ?

And what if I sign and it then does not work, will you refund me for any costs, and cancel the contract ?

According to the new CPA (Consumer Protection Act) if what they selling you doesnt work they must give you a refund and cancel the contract

DAM I LOVE THE CPA

Please forward your physical address to [email protected], then we will ask our network planning section to give an indication by when you will have coverage.

Data speed on a wireless network is influenced on many factors.

Some of these factors are:
• Number of users in a cell
• Distance from the base station
• Is the user moving or stationary
• Backbone infrastructure
• Device specifications

The service is a best-effort service and no guarantees are provided on availability or throughput.
Just to clarify, if your device is 7.2 Mbit/s capable, then you can get upto 7.2Mbit/s download speed on the 8ta network.

Our Huawei E153 is capable of a downlink of 3.6 Mbit/s and uplink of 384 Kbit/s, but please note our channels do all have different mark-ups

Micro sims

Is this product available in microsim format? .... Added to this, is the modem micro sim compatible ? I what to use this sim in my iPad 2 and also have the ability to use the modem on my laptop with the sim

So amped up. At Cresta, there's a few of us who came in early to beat the Q. One of the 8ta people came in to check if systems are running well, maybe info updates. She says the June data will be pro rata with the fee. Pity one can't do the same to sim and connection.
