I couldn't agree more. begs the question why modern day sides don't play at least two 4-day tour matches, one of them a full FC competitive match near the venuew of the 1st Test match.

The Windies have struck. I said earlier the only adjustment they needed to make was discipline. To be fair Alviro&Elgar looked rather rusty even though the runs were flowing. I don't understand why home teams never have competitive practice games ahead of a series.

His runs column is seldom the major concern. The fact that he only occupied the crease for just 8 deliveries should be the primary concern.
