PS3 Exclusives are Graphical Beasts!

Well you can look at past games and buy a console because of them. But we see great games coming to the PS3 in the next few months. PS3 has room still to grow on its future games. We have seen games getting better than previous iterations. At least that gives you incentive that current game successors will be better and something more to look forward to? The PS3 consoles gives developers more room to work with....someone mention bluray?? ;)

IMO the only thing stopping the shovelware at the moment is the difficulty in coding for the PS3

And the original Xbox didn't have any good titles? One of the reasons the first Xbox wasn't popular here was you could only import it (and it was like R3500?) - I for one was lucky I got to experience the original Xbox's titles - it was a lot stronger (read: better) than the ps2. A large number of games that were on the ps2 are now available in the 360's library (yes I did have a PS1 and a PS2 before purchasing my 360).

keep in mind that the PS3 has not been out on the market long enough yet to pick up all the crappy games. Once the PS3 reaches mid-life crisis stage, the console will pick up at least 20 different iterations of Sponge Bob shovelware games.

Anyways, future predictions are moot, since its nothing but speculation at this point. With a 1 year lead, the 360 still has the lesser exclusives. (yes, your multiplat stat spinning will never make sense)

If you don't care about exclusives, that's wonderful. For me, it's one of the most important parts of choosing a console, and with most of the worthwhile 360 exclusives also available on PC, really no point in having a 360.

But yes, i understand that multiplats are your thing, and you scrutinise them with a hawkeye, and that's wonderful. Enjoy it.;)

although that hasnt stopped the movie cash in shovelware, console should block all games that got less than 50% on metacritic from running.

Fable 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Halo ODST see what I did there? those titles are exclusive, and aren't on the PC

It comes down to personal preference, but I prefer gaming on my console... Perhaps because thats why I bought it :rolleyes:

Xbox was a huge success on the market but a huge flop with all the rrods.
Ps3 is a damn beast but that price WAS disgusting.now its better

Im sure Microsoft dont mind PS3 playing catch up? the damage has already been done?
can someone get stats of overall sales for both consoles

i have an xbox because the ps3 was just too much...Microsoft won me over in that field.now that PS3 is cheaper i wouldve rather got the Sony with blu ray and all the 8 super cells bla bla bla.why so much bickering...its crazy
 
lol for sure man....im not against the PS3 but everyone knows they seriously flopped price wise.i mean gaming is for everyone but who the heck can afford a 5k + console? it was ridiculous.il be getting a PS3 next year....definetely.

the xbox covers still win hands down....those ps3 covers are so depressing :P

Seriously dude, what are you still on about? Who cares if a game is a console exclusive? As long as it's fun to play, it can be on 1000 other consoles. And stat spinning??? I looked on different sites which console had the most games scoring over 90%. You still haven't explained how that is spinning stats?

If price was the case then Sony wouldn't have sold 24.6mil. Only about a mil of those are slims. Wii's are kicking both their butts but is more expensive than the xbox.

Naughty dog said Uncharted used only 30% of the PS3's capabilities and Killzone 2 used about 60%. Since the console is not fully utilized, I am sure games in future will have room to grow and be better than the already great games. I wouldn't say it is speculation.

Exclusivity guarantees that games are built & optimized for that specific console. Since PS3 & x360 work on entirely different platforms, multiplats won't do either console justice. But then again, most multiplats are built on the x360. Most boast Gears of War looked really good on the x360. Name a "multiplat game" that looks as good as GoW? (To the PS3 fans, "No, I am not asking what games exclusive to the PS3 looks better than GoW" ;))

I don't see the point of this argument. We are now in almost 2010, since the existence of X360 we have seen quality games and the multiplats are superior to PS3's. Now a few people here carry on about one or two graphically impressive games on the PS3? And how we might see more quality PS3 games? Jesus christ, it's about time don't you think? If you wanna carry on about a few good games on PS3, well enjoy the argument. Because it still does not make sense from a gamer's point of view. I assume PS3 owners play games?

Well its gonna be year of the wii until wii 2 comes out, so i guess year of the ps3 is walking in duke nukems footsteps
 
Year of the 360 was when it came out - the year before Wii and PS3 came out.

Since then it has just been years of the Wii

Next year looks very likely to be year of the PS3

Anyway what defines Year of.. ?
