PS3 Network settings

Hi guys, I got the 8ta 10Gig promo and a 3G router.

So far, everything works fine, Internet via my wireless laptop is fast, online gaming on PS3 is good, however, I read that you should create a static IP to improve your connection on PSN, does anyone know how to do this with the setup I got I.e. Wireless router, connected with Ethernet cable to PS3?

I chose easy initially and scared to mess around with the settings.

I do not see how a static IP can improve your connection whatsoever. Leave things as it is

Thanks, do you know what the benefit is to capture the Ip's in the network settings on PS3?
