PS4 Pro LAN problems

Hi Guys, Id like to connect my PS4 using LAN.

The problem is it does not recognise the cable is plugged in.

I have tried diffrent cables, routers and switches. When it is connected to my Mikrotik router i can see it flapping the whole time. Link up, 100mbp half duplex and the link down again.

I have tried all the fixes on google search.

Also reinstalled the system software.

Is this a known issue or a hardware problem?

Funnily, my PS4, gave an error this weekend, saying no LAN cable connected, so after troubleshooting a bit, I just switched to wifi. Was going to test it with another cable later.

If changing cables doesn't solve the problem, then it could possibly be the RJ-45 port itself. Try using one of those puff blasters to puff some air into the port to clear any dust or debris.

Thanks man. Did that, also cleaned contacts with isopropyl alcohol and a earbud but still the ethernet port flaps

Have you tried using a CAT6 cable instead of CAT5? Shouldn't make a difference but you never know.
 
What happens if you force the port on the router/switch side to 100mbs full duplex?
 
Tried CAT6 cable, and puting a switch between it and the router. No dice. Still link up , link down the whole time

Connect it to a laptop, give them both IP's in the same range then ping it.

If it keeps on dropping then its a HW fault.

Hopefully ICMP isnt disabled.
