I'm not the one that time and time again make up facts on this thread and think I'm going to BS adults into my ridiculous theories.
But you are right. Everyone writing something an a public forum open himself up for the world to see his IQ/EQ etc. Unfortunately like they say, stupid people don't even realize they are stupid. So no use in arguing it, as you would not understand.

So the next gen switch will be 12k and it will be just as powerful as an Xbox One X.

It may probably output at 4K 60 but run at an internal resolution of 1080p. I've seen people run the RTX 2090 at 8K with full raytracing with "acceptable results" and that card was running at an internal resolution of 1080p super sampled up to 8K

Ah much like the Xbox One S did, it basically upscaled to 4k but was running at internal res of 900 to 1080p.

On a sad note, I didn't manage to secure a PS5. I have been checking all day and nothing popped up, didn't receive any notifications of stock either. All I can think is that the rumours were exactly that, rumours.

If Sony doesn't sell at least 3 times the volume of Xbox's they might have something to worry about. Last round its estimated that PS4 did 155 m vs Xbox One's 43 m in the 7 years they been out. So only doing double might mean they losing ground.

Oh and just for comparison Nintendo Switch did 65 m in its 1st 3 years and still selling like hotcake taking the crown on Xbox/PS5 release last month. That might be because of stock outs but still impressive if you ask me as they not showing any sign on slowing down.

Where do you get this info from? It's been generally accepted that PS4 outsold Xbox 2:1. These numbers of yours are 3:6 to 1......

And I think the latest numbers would have been even more significant if Sony had enough consoles to sell....

PS2 155 vs Xbox 43
PS4 was 112 vs Xbox one 48

So just over double the sales.
Oh well still fact remains if they just doing double they might be slipping

You don't need 3 different sites - this figure has been mentioned multiple times in this very thread. So you just need to read, and focus.

There will be only one winner, the same as all previous generations. It is already clear who the winner will be............the same as previous generations.
All the polls from people sitting 24/7 on MB because that are bored with their game pass, means nothing in the real world.

MS/Xbox doesn't JUST push console sales like Sony.

I'm all for comparing the machines and what they can offer me for my cash. But sales means nothing because it doesn't effect us as end users. It's not a feature of the console.

If I'm correct you don't even own a next gen system. So why do you care who "wins"?

I'm surprised too. When I voted in that poll, PS5 was winning. I think people have finally figured out that the Microsoft Game Pass just can't be beat for value for money ... and Microsoft just keeps adding to it every single month.

I just picked up the Series S on the eBucks sale on a whim, loaded up the 3 year Ultimate Game Pass offer, and have already flogged off the PS4. I'm very impressed with this whole setup.

Uhm and sales do tell a story as to what people consider the best value for their money regarding performance, innovation and enjoyment. So If you as a consumer maybe took the time and looked at sales you would probably have bought the right next gen console. If not, you would be here on MB trying to spin theories to make your choice sound better.

My kids will get it when launch problems have been sorted. when stock are readily available and prices have settled.

While I will give you credit that you have been espousing this opinion for a while, it does not apply to your "brothers in arms". That little crowd were always loud and proud as to the XSX being the "most powerful "console earlier. And laughing at suggestions of the new haptic-sensor controller etc.

It's only since release of the actual consoles, that they have now suddenly turned to a "no console is better; you choose what you want" refrain. I can guarantee you, if results had turned out the opposite way, they would be crowing about it all the time.

Why am I saying this, after saying let gamers be gamers? Well, refer next post.

Now, while I certainly do not condone or endorse JCV's comments about IQ etc, he has a pertinent point.

I was letting this debate go, because, I know I have the better console and am not going to crow about it. But Poly and his fellows have been insistent on reigniting this drama.
