I mean, it's not a "MUST" per se, so I can continue with the PS4 on the TV but I definitely don't wanna use my current TV once I get a PS5 as my TV is a few years old now (and I don't really plan on buying a new fancy TV that's more suited for PS5 gaming, would much prefer a monitor).
Can you perhaps provide a few examples please? If I increased the budget to R6K let's say? And if that's still too cheap then the cheapest most compatible PS5 monitors![]()
What's wrong with your TV? Meaning, what do you wish did better when it comes to gaming? My old full 2010 HD LCD (not LED) Samsung TV is still pretty damn good, probably better than my 4K 2018 Samsung TV, except for input lag. Older isn't always worse, especially when it comes to TVs and monitors.
Why do you want a monitor over a TV?
There are good reasons, but there will always be a compromise. Monitors are more expensive than TVs, and if you don't plan to use it for using a computer it just doesn't make sense.
For the price of one of these

There may be cheaper options on other sites, but I trust Wootware.
You can get one of these:
SAMSUNG 43 INCH Neo QLED 4K QN90C - QA43QN90CAKXXA - Digital Experience
Quantum Matrix Technology Neural Quantum Processor 4K Anti Reflection 2 Year Warranty

I use an LG OLED 42" as a gaming monitor with my PC, and it actually works really well, especially when you lean back in your chair with a controller in your hand. With a 24" monitor you will need to sit upright like when you work on a PC.
If you want to use the monitor for PC gaming and PS5 gaming, I would just get a 1440p monitor.
