PS5

Is there a problem with having the PS5 on standby? I’ve always left it in that mode. Even when I was staying in SA.

It leads to data loss worse case, system bricking( Check reddit for loads of horror stories), which I find rather odd as the base OS was built off FreeBSD, and I have loads of FreeBSD based systems that couldn't care less about sudden power loss.

Guess its mostly related to whatever filesystem Sony uses, and ironically a problem that has existed since the PS3 days.

Was going to say the PS3 hated it as well, often you had to do a repair after a power down. The Xbox seems pretty robust as all of them since the original have survived sudden power failures. Often the Series X just goes back quick resume when you turn it on.

Completed DS and got the plat for it. I enjoyed 80 percent of it.

Around the latter bits I was getting bored and wanted the story to move faster. But that could be my fault for trying to 100% each region before moving on.

I've never lost a single piece of data even when it powered off unexpectedly during cuts in LS etc. If I have, I wasn't aware of it lol

Neither have I, only ever lost time due to re-indexing but seen posts on Reddid of people having to format/reset to factory makes me a tad weary. Also prime reason why I sub to PS+ just in case :D

I had to reinstall twice over the years I had a PS5 if I remember correct. One of which my software was so messed up it listed my Ghost Recon Wildlands DLC under another game and froze when you booted anything up. The other time it literally forced me to check and reset.

This was after power losses when I didn't have a backup solution yet.

This exactly. I only bought the game two years after release. Sure its slow paced but after completing the game that was kinda an emotional trip. My rating, 9/10.
I see the PS5 edition is available on PS+

Hmmm, tempted, not playing anything at the moment

Are all forza games gonna be available on ps5 or only forza 5?

Sadly due to how Car licensing works you are not gonna see older games on Sony, they have even been removed from Microsoft stores. So unless you get an old physical disc you are out of luck.

As for Motorsport, I do suspect it will make the jump but I guess you only gonna see it around October (2 year time mark) or later.

that sucks

on another note howz the servers on Sparking zero ,is the game dead now, any new missions being added? Are they still gonna build on it?

17 April, just over 2 more weeks.

Honestly if I didn't play it on game pass I would buy this game. It's that good, like playing Uncharted with Indiana Jones.

Wouldn't spend extra to get the early access though because it's just a campaign, there's no online component...

I can’t say why exactly but I’m struggling with it a bit and I’ve always been a huge fan of MachineGames.

I think it likely relates to the fact I’ve never watched an Indiana Jones so I have no nostalgic attachment to it, but I find myself struggling to be motivated to come back to it.

And when I do it’s just “fine”. I’m struggling to find the amazing everyone is on about.

It was easy for me, I love the movies. So the references, antagonists and humour all came naturally. The guy voicing Indy did an incredible job of replicating Harrison Ford.

But I think even if I didn't watch the movies, it's still a game I would have loved. The story driven adventure genre is my favourite, along with RPGs. It's what made games like Uncharted, Tomb Raider and Horizon so great (for me), and Indiana Jones is arguably what many of those games owe their existence to in the first place...
