My total budget was R12000 for the console and R15000 for the TV/monitor. Might have to shift things around. I'm waiting on TCLs new TVs to see where they sit. Otherwise will probably go for a new Toshiba or Hisense

How big must the TV be? LG 55" Nano 86 currently comes in at R14 999 (without shopping around). I paid R18k for mine 2 years ago
I currently have a 60" Sony from 2014 (1080p). I don't really want to go smaller....
Yeah, I know they're not the ultimate in terms of picture quality, but they are good value for money. I'd like to get one with HDMI 2.1 and some cheaper models are starting to creep in (from Hisense, Toshiba and TCL)

So I installed a Firecuda 530 1TB in my PS5. After formatting it showed that it has 1.01TB of space and 1TB free. Is that normal or did I mess something up?

I was thinking more that the 1.01TB size was odd when it's only a 1TB drive.An empty 1TB drive showing 1TB free sounds about right to me
Seems the PS5 file system is very small to give you a full 1TB in storage.
It probably uses something standard like exFAT, so you should get all the capacity. Doubt you can mess up the process

That might be true, but for me as a launch day receiver, I now have two shitty controllers to replace, at R1300 a piece/me taps PS5 on the side.
At least I dont feel bad on being an early adopter

Ye, if Sony was struggling to sell consoles they wouldn't be raising prices. People will pay and Sony knows it.

Ag... It's ok. I've been waiting for two years, may as well wait longer! I don't want to get it until I can also get the TV to go with it. It would be a waste to game on my 10 year old 1080p screen. Maybe I should just hold out fpr the inevitable pro or slim modelsIf you hurry you can still get one at old price:

I would still suggest you get the console now and stash it away - then you have an "extra" R1k to go towards the TV
