PS5

Was also very impatient with Koodoo then found the package deal at my local incredible connection for about R80 cheaper and I could collect same day.
might actually be a good idea. R12999 with another controller (blue) + charging dock

So R2000 for the controller + dock

New Metal Gear Solid Remasters Rumored to Be Releasing

A new rumor has come about today suggesting that newly remastered versions of the original Metal Gear Solid trilogy are in the works at Konami. Specifically, this would mean that Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater would all be coming to modern platforms in some capacity in the future. And while it remains to be seen if this will be true, the idea alone is one that surely excites many fans.

In referencing a recent report from VGC, a gaming insider by the name of Dusk Golem claimed that they have heard that Konami is now working on new versions of Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3. Previously, it was also reported that Metal Gear Solid 3, in particular, would be getting a new remake or remaster at some point in the future. Now, Dusk Golem also states that Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 will be receiving remasters as well and says that Konami will look to sell all three games individually or as a bundle. Additionally, the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake will also come packaged in with the collected version of the trilogy.

Maybe so, but I'll just wait for sale regardless. Not like you're forced to buy it :)
For sure. Will wait for a sale too. I haven't even played the original, but I won't reward the cash-grab that is this full price release.

I got about 3/4 hrs into the PS4 remaster, but it feels dated by todays standards. So I'm keen to play the remake - but yea, not paying full price!

No need for Series S, nice 3070 ti lounge PC :)

Need to decide what to play/download (Have done PS Plus Extra subscription)

Thinking FF 7 Remake Intergrade

Cant go wrong with, Astro's Play room. Nice intro into the console & controller + is already installed.

Agreed. It's such a good little game, so much nostalgia collecting stuff from the old Playstations. The soundtrack is also top notch.

That charging station is underrated. So convenient and easy to use.

The controller battery life is no slouch either. Played 3 hours of TLOU Part 1 this afternoon and it hadn't even dropped a single bar before going back into the charging station.

The game is pretty awesome, movement and combat is so smooth similar to TLoU Part 2.

The orange led in “sleep” mode is kind of annoying

Gonna move it behind my TV, definitely doesn’t have the wife approval factor that the series X had.
Possibly worsened as I have to have it horizontally in my TV stand.

I like the feel of the interface with the background music

My left thumb keeps getting confused :giggle:

Holding them side by side the series controller definitely is more comfortable.

The way you can switch controllers and profiles instantly is really good

The adaptive triggers demo at the start of astros playroom

The haptics

I think that the “intro to the controller” part of Astros Playroom is one of the most impactful/well done tech demos I have ever seen/felt.

So far the entire experience has felt very polished.

Still rating Series controller as 9.5/10 vs 7/10 on ergonomics/comfort. after about 2.5 hours of use, definitely felt hand “fatigue”

Only problem with the charging station is that you can't use it when you have "back buttons" like the RISE 4 installed on the controller :(
