Lots of stock in SA. Cheap if you know where to look (Carbonite). Got a sealed console + 2 games + controller for R11k. Not sure I’d pay R13k for it

You'll get great value. I've held out mentally on the PSVR for so long that it then made sense to hold out for the PSVR2. I hope the titles are great.

About 20 hours in.

My main gripes:
  • Story - not bad, but not as good as the first. Too many sequences drawn out longer than they need to be e.g
    Atreus and Angrboda's meeting and forest walkabout sequence
  • Artificial slowing down of pace - Puzzles and level design occassionally seem to be designed purely to slow you right down which feels downright annoying at times when it is so obvious.
  • Some voice acting - eg. Odin's jarring American-ised voice while his son sounds like he's stepped right off the set of Vikings.
  • Combat - much the same as the first with no real improvements to flow and additional features are "meh"

I'm enjoying the game, but I can't see what the massive fuss was about.
 
Anyone else have the rubber on their dual sense thumbsticks starting to come off? I've had one that has come off completely and another that I can feel is loose.

Just ordered some replacements from Xmods, they're not super expensive but just annoying as it seems like it's something that's going to happen quite often with this design.

I feel I cannot really comment too much right now, due to me not having experienced the full game yet as well as potentially revealing spoilers unintentionally.

All I can say is that I love the focus on story and slowing things down, but that's just my preference and I know it won't please everyone. I also feel combat is a lot better/varied now due to .. insert spoilers here.

It's keeping me up until midnight every night so it must be doing something right :laugh:

The odd thing is I enjoyed the first so much more. Easily in the Top 5 games of that gen for me.

It took me about a year to finish the first game, I kept getting sidetracked with other things and then leaving it for months, that really did take some of the enjoyment out of it - not the games fault though. If I had to rate them against each other I'd probably say they're about the same for me.

Finished Far Cry 6 and Miles Morales Spider Game.
Both really good games, the latter more so.

30min into GoW:R and it’s amazing! I’m running it at Picture Quality VS Performance as I wasn’t getting constant 120hz. Mainly around 60-90 but don’t regret it.

Game looks amazing so far and needed a good story game.

Safe to say I’m getting my ROI from this purchase :)
 
Hhmm, so my Media remote decided to stop working.
I can control the TV with it (on/off, volume), but none of the PS functions work.
Deleted it from accessories, and tried to re-pair it ... doesn't go into pairing.
Tried other batteries, also nothing :(

Funny you should mention that :) Go it on launch day, so 3 days out of warranty if memory serves me right
 
I have a question I was on a monthly ps+ essential sub (R119pm) and today saw the -25% off BF deal and instead of changing my plan to PS+ Extra 12 month package for R929.25 I chose the monthly option and it seems I will be billed Pro-rata for this month about R12 but when I try to change it says my plan change is still progress, so must I wait for the amount to be deducted and then must I try to change it to 12 month?
Also I don’t see the -25% promotion for the essential package (R561.75) why is that?

Managed to figure it out. I just cancelled the current subscription and bought a new ps+ extra for the 12 month period at the -25% discount.
