Coming from a 1TB PS4, the PS5 base storage feels restrictive, as a lot of the 825GB drive is raken up by the OS.

An 860 Pro is definitely on my wish list
 
The 2tb 980 pro has been awesome on my PS5. Have complete freedom on installation

It's even worse when you realise that the "System files" take up more space with each game install. I ended up up with only 600Gb in actual games before it was full.

I love my Seagate Firecuda 1Tb. Got it for like R2800 on Bidorbuy a couple months back, nice drive. No system files nonsense when you install to the M2, you get the full size of the drive.

It's weird that PS5 doesn't seem to have the Complete Edition of The Witcher 3.

Pretty sure I've spotted it on all other platforms.

Ok I found it the PS Store. If you go into The Witcher 3 it will give you the option to choose the Complete Edition, which is R479.
 
I started Last of Us 2 and after a couple of hours it is still mostly cut scenes and little bits of action in between. I don’t want to read too many reviews due to spoilers etc, but does it continue like this for the whole game or does it become more like the first game. Such a different vibe going on but I can’t say I hate it, just want more game play.

Well you're going to get your cut scenes throughout the game but don't expect it to play like Part 1. This game is very dark, morbid and depressing at times, you always gonna have that sense of dread walking around the environment and you will have lots of game play further into the game.

If you have lots of PS4 games you can offload them to a USB3 or USB-C connected external SSD.

Sony has just provided a deeper look at the DualSense Edge pro controller that will be coming to PS5 fairly soon, but the one thing they neglected to mention was that the controller will have a “moderately shorter” battery life compared to the original DualSense controller. For those already complaining about the length of battery on the DualSense, this isn’t encouraging news.

How long is the DualSense Edge controller battery life?​

Sony hasn’t given a figure for how long the battery life will be for the DualSense Edge but told The Verge it will be “moderately shorter” than the DualSense. The battery life of the original DualSense controller is around 12-15 hours depending on whether features like haptic feedback and the speaker are being used.

Sony’s full statement explained the reason for the shorter battery life is that the Edge has “many more features” within that will help to drain the battery life. The company has tried to “strike a good balance between wireless operating time and delivering robust, high-performance features” but will be providing a longer USB braided cable for a wired connection to the PS5 console if players need to preserve battery life.

You could try to upgrade to Extra and then purchase the yearly PS Plus Extra.

They only offer a pro-rata payment option for the remainder of the Essential Plan and then 'normal' annual subs for the Extra Plan.

I know previously I upgraded with the pro-rata option and went from Essential to Extra. (Paid R275 pro-rate when Extra became available). When the Black Friday sale came around I was able to buy an Extra subscription again. Which extended my Extra subscription by a year.

Edit:
Looks like the January sale promotion they have now is only for new subscriptions, not renewals like the Black Friday sale was.
