I really didn't expect this at all, Returnal was easily one of the best games this generation.Beyond stoked, Housemarque is one of my favourite devs.

PlayStation 5 enjoyed its best-ever holiday period in 2024 and has now cleared 75 million units shipped, Sony announced on Thursday.
According to the company, 42% of PS5 console sales during its latest quarter were to new users, which it said contributed “substantially” to the increase in active users.
Launch-aligned, PlayStation 5 is now just 1.5 million units behind PlayStation 4 during the same period of its lifecycle (76.5 million units)

Personally don't care, just as long as they keep making Xbox's, they can do whatever they wantIt's gonna be 9/11 for XB fanboys

That said, sadly they are trying to use Sega's business plan, and we all know how well that worked out for their console division.
Well it's their opinion and there's certain parts I agree with. It may be true that 3rd parties will always push out more games, but it's also true that Sony simply isn't pushing out exclusives as quickly as they used to in past generations...I don't get that sentiment at all. PlayStation has always relied more on 3rd party games than 1st party.
And what do they think is going to happen when one of the biggest publishers in the world suddenly starts porting their library over? No **** they gonna have more games

The difference is that Sega had an uphill battle at the start. MS is big enough to probably do 3rd party approach and keep making consoles. I don't think they will exit the console hardware space but the next XB will probably be a PC hybrid type thing that can run Steam as well
They already PC's, same with PlayStation
Xbox is a PC based on Windows 11 Core.
PlayStation is a PC using Orbis OS that had its roots in FreeBSD.
Xbox 360, and PS3 was the last true "Consoles".
