PS5

I’m still looking for a game to play whilst I have a lot of time until I start my new role.

I looked at the first version of this game. It just looks like a postman delivery game?

AstroBot if you like platformers

Mine also is always in standby.
Mine too,, but I have had a PS5 die, and I continue to use standby. The board itself, not the PSU. No idea the cause however.

I always “forget” because it’s the first option, and then it’s too late

Is there a problem with having the PS5 on standby? I’ve always left it in that mode. Even when I was staying in SA.

The issue is that you don't want to be losing power when it's in standby as it can possibly corrupt things. The PS gets really angry at you when you don't shutdown properly, and who knows what effects it has if this happens a lot.

I have battery backup so I'm not that concerned about losing power.

Oh okay. Loosing power isn’t really a thing in England. Good to know though.

I loved Death Stranding.

Yes you deliver things but there's so much more to the game. Really looking forward to the sequel.

It leads to data loss worse case, system bricking( Check reddit for loads of horror stories), which I find rather odd as the base OS was built off FreeBSD, and I have loads of FreeBSD based systems that couldn't care less about sudden power loss.

Guess its mostly related to whatever filesystem Sony uses, and ironically a problem that has existed since the PS3 days.

Was going to say the PS3 hated it as well, often you had to do a repair after a power down. The Xbox seems pretty robust as all of them since the original have survived sudden power failures. Often the Series X just goes back quick resume when you turn it on.

Completed DS and got the plat for it. I enjoyed 80 percent of it.

Around the latter bits I was getting bored and wanted the story to move faster. But that could be my fault for trying to 100% each region before moving on.

I've never lost a single piece of data even when it powered off unexpectedly during cuts in LS etc. If I have, I wasn't aware of it lol
