Why not use a slightly cheaper RAM option? --- look at prophecy's mushkin range...

Why not wait for sandybridge, might just kick yourself in a months time.

graphics should be hd 6950 , which unlocks to hd 6970 saves you 2k for the same performance :)

I usually use shopbot.co.za, shopmania.co.za, oneshop.co.za & jump.co.za to look for the cheapest price for the specific component.

I would really suggest that you get a different combination of components!

I'd suggest that you wait for the Sandy Bridge components to arrive in SA - hopefully it would be here before February - because you'll get so much more performance from an i5 2500 / i7 2600 and it uses considerably less power under load.

Otherwise, consider the following PC:
G.Skill Phoenix 60GB SSD @ R1300 - from Wootware
MSI X58A-GD65 motherboard @ R2000
6GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM * Just get cheaper RAM than the Dominators.
Antec HCG 720W @ R1000 * 950W is completely overkill! Your rig wouldn't even use 500W! So anything from 600W+ should work fine
EVGA GTX 580 @ R5300 (or perhaps even cheaper) * This is definitely not the best value/money card!
Cogage True Spirit + Bracket CPU cooler @ R360 + R75

CPU, Case & Monitor that you chose are OK.

Why a gtx480 when 5 series is out?

Why a 950watt power supply with only 1 gfx card?

You can save cash right there.

The *s are the parts that I changed from your build.
My recommendation is:

CPU: Core I7 950 R 2 179 www.pcint.co.za
*Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R R2,255.00 http://www.wootware.co.za/gigabyte-...iscrete-intel-desktop-motherboard-retail.html
Ram:Corsair Dominator 1600 CL8 3 x 2GB R1,599 www.zapsonline.co.za
*PSU:Corsair Corsair GS800 R1238.04 http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/corsair-gs800-gaming-series-800w-p-5711.html
*GPU: Radeon HD6950*2 R5,598.00 http://www.wootware.co.za/vtx3d-radeon-hd6950-2gb-pci-e-graphics-card-retail.html
HD:Samsung 1TB F3 R552.12 www.landmarkpc.co.za
SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 60GB R1527.37 www.prophecy.co.za
*Case:Corsair 600T (Its an alright case, it lacks air pressure though as it doesnt have side fans. Would recommend waiting for the AeroCool X-Predator coming something this week) R1629.06 www.landmarkpc.co.za
Monitor:Samsung BX2335 LED R1,969 www.zapsonline.com

Total R18546
If you want to save even more money you can get a slightly cheaper RAM and the X-Predator might also be cheaper than the 600T. Btw, 6950 in Crossfire blows the 480 away.

The Corsair PSU's are OK, but Antecs get a better review as far as I can see.

I usually go with Corsair,i havn't heard much about mushkin so i'll do bit of googling to see if i can get anything that gives better performance than a corsair in the mushkin range.

I've had trouble with radeon cards in the past so i usually stay clear of them :o

Didn't know the 5 serries was out :o,should have mentioned that i was going to do some overclocking work so i thought a 950W would be enough.

If the X-Predator has enough room for overclocking and liquid cooling then i'll go with it.

From what I gather from the reviews it has extremely good cooling, better than most cases. Donno about the liquid cooling.

Here is the case:http://www.aerocool.com.tw/index.php/products/chassis/28-pgsb/111-xpredator-black-
Here are reviews for it:
http://www.google.com/translate?lan...cool-xpredator-black-edition-kasa-incelemesi/
http://www.coregamer.net/cms/tests/hardware/387-test-aerocool-xpredator.html

Unfortunately the reviews aren't in english, but you get the general just of it.

Very nice,it looks like it supports water cooling.

IMO it does not have enough room for water. Cant add a rad in front since you have to remove all the HDD bays. Cant add one on top since you'd interfere with the mobo (unless you can fit fans underneath those flaps on top, and then you'd still have to get a thin rad). So that leaves you with a bottom 140 rad (that may interfere with the PSU) and a rear 140 rad. At ±R2000 you are way better off going for a HAF-X which can take a triple rad up top with zero mods. Or a CM690ii that can take 2 dual rads, but then you are limited to 2 HDDs.

Remember if you are going to buy all these components from 10 different shops, you have to allocate another R800+ for shipping.
It could easily reach R1k

For the same prices Sandy Bridge will be out this month - just wait. It's the new Intel cpu range.

A decent 750W PSU should be more than enough for the GTX 580 + i7 950. My i7 940 overclocked to 4GHz with 2x GTX 460's overclocked to 878/4460 didn't even consume 500W!

Like the other guys said, try to stick with fewer online shops. My recommendations goes out to Wootware and Prophecy Shop (PS ships for free if your cart is over R1500).

If you're stuck on Nvidia get a GTX570. It's slightly faster than the GTX480 and cheaper.
Also much better value for money than a GTX580.
