Quadcopter/Drone Thread

Not sure if serious.
I've got it on for more than double that and loads of interest.
I got it on black Friday deal for 11k, RRP at the time was about 15k. I know these things age quickly though. Not expecting great resale.

I'll seriously buy it at that price. Just kidding with you. Have no clue what the phantom 3 goes for.

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit, I've bought myself a Parrot Bebop 2 (the FPV pack, Skycontroller 2P included).

I'd like to know where can I get my hands on a secondhand Original Parrot Skycontroller, as the SkyController 2P is a bit too small for my big hands. I'm looking for that fine pinch hand control, and the SkyController looks like the solution.

I was looking on Gumtree, OLX and Ananzi. That controller is scarce soos hoender tande. Can anyone help me in this regard?

I learnt the hard way yesterday that these Mavic Air batteries do not hold a charge for long when they're in the bag. Can they be left on the charger indefinitely?

They automatically discharge to 60% if not used for 10 days by default. You can change this in settings between 1 and 10 days.

Lithium Ion batteries don't like to be stored at 100% charge.

DJI batteries are made to discharge to about 50% slowly. My Mavic Pro batteries does it.

Not recommended.

I'd just charge them before before you need to fly.
My flying atm is more spontaneous - like yesterday. Perhaps I'll schedule charging with Alexa. One hour per day should keep them topped up?

Hi, I have a Xiaomi Mi 4K drone, during one of my flights the camera fall and broke.
I am basically looking for a company that will have a look and fix if they can.
Every company i emailed said they only repair DJI drones.
no one will even give it a try!

This is a you tube video on how to repair the camera.

Do you guys think something like this will improve the wifi signal between controller and drone?

I found switching my DJI Spark's WiFi to 5Ghz improved range drastically. From around a couple hundred meters to over a 1km

It's be design. The intelligent batteries start recharging after 10 days I believe. Had the same issue with my Spark's batteries.

I haven’t noticed much difference between the two frequency ranges. What made a massive difference was switching it from CE to FCC.

@genetic Was visiting my Uncle in Agatha a month ago. First time flying at 120m up and 500 m away. Took some photos of an Avo farm, then was asked to take pictures of a Blueberry farm. Still very impressed with that Phantom 4.
