Quadcopter/Drone Thread

Due to a complex set of circumstances I am receiving two DJI Sparks, and want to sell the second one at the price I paid for it on Amazon.

I will put an ad on classifieds when the second one arrives, don't actually have it yet (White standard pack, no remote or second battery, should be delivered on Monday). If any one is interested PM me. Price was R6580.

I was going to keep it as a spare, or for spare parts, but have decided against that.

Just got my spark flymore yesterday, so I just need a few accessories but so far it looks great. Spent all my time updating the firmware last night so hopefully I will get time this weekend to take it out a bit
 
Anyone using ND filters on their Mavic Pro? Any recommendations? (Planning to do some coastal shots in April)

Sold mine, but was using an ND16 Polar Pro most of the time... (had 3 piece set, had an ND8 and polarized filer too)

That is incredibly, immensely stupid. There are innocent lives on that plane. What if that aircraft had suddenly banked left for some reason? That little puny drone will never get out of the way. Gets sucked into engine and you have 100 dead men, women and children on your hands.

More like 500 lives and a engine failure won't down a a380 but still, I hear you. a A smaller plane could be a very different story and these dick heads are going to ruin the hobby for all of us.
 
Its weird how the popular local youtubers fly around cape towns no fly zones and posting it online and here am I a nobody ...20 views per video afraid to fly my drone.

An RPL is not a commercial license.

Getting your RPL is not going to magically allow you to fly legally. You're still bound by all hobbiest drone laws. You'll need a commercial license on top of your RPL if you wan't to fly commercially or apply for legal permits.
 
Why would you want a 2x zoom on a drone?

If it was something decent like 5x or bigger then maybe worth it but 2x seems a bit pointless.
