I take it the local authorities aren't too pedantic about drones there?

Not really. Drones are quite popular here and you never hear of anyone getting into trouble. I live close to those buildings on the top floor of my building and launch it from my rooftop. I am not an idiot with it though.

I live in the area with the red x. I'm interested in buying a DJI Mini 3 Pro, what height restrictions will be enforced on this drone in this area? Will it be the same as a Mavic for example, as this is under the 250g threshold?

Rough rules in SA. Was planning to bring my 7”and 3” FPV drones with me in December while in holiday in CT.

Literally seems like no point as the rules are overly restrictive. You can buy stolen goods on the street corner but don’t you dare fly your drone near of natural beauty. Obviously.

The <250g makes no difference in SA

Long shot, anyone have an old DJI Tello or a battery for one lying around? I have a DJI Tello in the cupboard but the battery is swollen and no longer working, I want to see if the thing works before I fork out for a new battery.
