Quit DStv repeats or we will quit you

but MultiChoice explains that repeats are part of pay TV services around the world

And that is why pay TV services around the world are getting pwnd by things like Netflix where you don't have 70 million repeats and 90 million ads.

Yeah but those TV services from all around the world are cheap as ****.

Define cheap as **** if you please?

Don't get me wrong here, I am not entirely happy with the price DSTV charges, but they are not way out of whack with international norms in terms of their pricing, and their sports coverage is pretty damn good.

What would you rather have? A repeat or a blank screen for an hour?

Everybody knows how much I hate DSTV, but repeats are within the nature of the business.

It makes sense, repeat the shows so that people who missed it the first time can catch up, and fill up what would otherwise be blank space.
They do not have enough money or content to fill up every 24 hours with completely new material.

And if you don't like repeats then you should quit DSTV anyway and quit whining.

I have fired them already.
I had paid for a year in advance since they started way back. Put several friends on them too.
Now they have changed the conditions, and are not interested in keeping me, so it cuts two ways.
Bye bye - and good riddance. Bought an OHVTV decoder and used their dish for it (smiles).

Movies are understandable, it's the crap they repeat on prime time that is not.

More irritating is when watching a program and then they advertise the same program during the ad breaks!

Just as a btw,

As of right now, the Complete Sky Bundle, which yes has a few more channels and features than DSTV Premium, is currently priced at R1280.50 per month including a decoder on a 12 month subscription.

You can get the same thing from DSTV (new decoder, and premium) for R799 on a 2 year contract.

try living on same amount of uncapped internet for one month and you will never go back to pay tv

Any sports fan will not be quitting DSTV anytime soon. I assume then none of this group are sports fans or they just making a big noise to get noticed.
