Hi to Load the 1 Day unlimited bolt ONLY AVAILABLE TO PAY AS YOU GO CUSTOMERS

Step 1: recharge your account with only R50.00 (no more or you will loose it)
Step 2: dial *141*6#
Step 3: select "Unlimited data"
Step 4: option 1
Step 5: You will receive a sms saying "Y'ello you've successfully loaded a MTN broadband Unlimited 1Day bolt on data bundle please activate before 2010xxxx by dialing *141*6*5*3#" (AT THIS STEP THERE IS ALSO A BUG IN THE SYSTEM THAT THE 24HOURS CLOCK STARTS SO ONCE BUNDLE IS BOUGHT ACTIVATE IMMEDIATELY)
Step 6: Dial :*141*6*5*3*1#
Step 6: You will receive a sms saying "Y'ello Your MTN broadband Unlimited 1Day bolt on data bundle is now active. It will expire in 24 hours from time of activation.

DO NOT LOAD IT DURING THE DAY THERE IS A BUG IN THE SYSTEM THAT WILL DEPLETE YOUR BUNDLE AFTER 12:00 AM SO ONLY LOAD IT AT 01:00AM AND THEN IT WILL EXPIRE THE FOLLOWING MORNING AT 01:00AM!

THE DIAL THE CONNECTION...

MTN SETTINGS

Help me please. I bought R50 airtime, bought the bundle. Waited a half hour for the confirmation sms, but didn't get it. So I dialed *141*6*5*3#, and selected activate bundle, but got a internal error. So I deactivated it, hoping I would get my airtime back, but my account is still R0.

Okay now I got a text:

Y'ello. Your MTN Broadband Unlimited 1Day Bolt-on data bundle is now active. It will expire in 24 hours from time of activation.

Now when I want to activate, (they doesn't say how in the text), I get the message that I must buy a bundle first.

Look like I was to hasty, any way to salvage the situation?

I discovered the thread too late. Looks like Mtn will give my money back, thankfully.

Cool - i'm gonna be checking this out this weekend

Vodacom will probably come up with some lame "Uncapped Internet @ 32kbs using some hacked safari browser" or something to counter MTN's Uncapped

Cheers Vodalosers!

Well the 24 hour "unlimited usage" is completely useless after the 150mb fair usage from after 7pm (activated at 09:10) I could only get another 200mb till 7am.What is worse is you are suppose to be throttled to 128KBytes according the 141 MTN menu clearly stating 128 KBYTES. I was however given lower network priority which meant the non stable connection speeds ranging from 5.33 to 13.9kb and it was not a constant rate the average speed was 7.45kb according to bandwidth manager.

Since my connection is G3 only egde works and connect at a far lower speed that the 128kbytes my average speed is around 200- 240 Kilobits (20-24kbytes) I was screwed completely as my connection is far below their limit.

Further more a few mins after the service expired I used my normal cap to check speeds and was right back to the normal speeds. As a note even before I reached the 150mb limit (around 90mb)I was already throttled.....

I am not happy about this it was completely useless after I reached the the limit and not even the full 150mb...
