it's very much real guys...i know from experience. if you activate it at 01:00 you might not even be throttled to 128kbps and be able to connect at the highest speed your device will allow depending on network coverage etc. I got 4.1 gb on hsdpa in 8 before being disconnected by the network. I must admit though that the network is sometimes unstable and disconnects alot. Its value for money and beats paying 189 for 500mb which you can consume in 2hrs or less with continuous downloading.

How are u guys downloading gig upon gig? I tried for the entire 24 hrs and still only managed downloading 1 gig. The cap surely kicked in after 150mb. I got max speeds of 8KB the entire day. I used smartget and ucweb as download managers through my phone and still did not help much. Would using my phone as a modem make a difference in speeds im experiencing? Some advice please

I also gave this a shot last week but boy it sucks. After the first 150mb it's like watching cement dry. It's a good concept but please increase the speed cap after the first 150mb or make it at least 500mb and then the speed cap.

Others claim there was some kind of system error on MTN's side, thus they could be able to download ~5GB...
8KB/s? That's a pain man...

Download accelarators, increase speeds to peak. For instance, 3G (384kbps) stays at an average of 48KB/s (JDownloader/IDM etc.)

looks like mtn has overcome the 01:00 activation "no cap nor throttle" bug.

What speeds are you getting on this? R50 a day = R1500 per month... It has to be extremely fast and reliable before I would think of forking out R1500/pm - what is the use of having it for 2 days? R100 gone :/

Well by default we looking at around 1.2 gig but if you lucky you can go above that.

15kb/s * 60 seconds * 60 minutes * 24 hours = 1.3GB

1.3 GB for 50 bucks aint that bad in my books!
