Can I use my phone as a modem for my laptop, and how does it work?:wtf:

Most if not all cellphones can be used as modems. You would need to install the software package that came with your phone. Then you would need to create a dial up network connection, if there wasn't a feature for this in the software suite for your phone.

What phone do you have?

What handset do you own? Connect your phone to your PC via USB, you must have this in order to connect... Also you can use bluetooth, if your laptop has the feature, or an external usb bluetooth (+ software). For some brands like Nokia, you need not install anything, simply connect phone and go to network connection and set up a connection from there. Other brands though you have to install the drivers manually, as well as the software.
You said it, your mobile will act as a modem for the PC, thus you'll be able to connect via it's GSM (GPRS, EDGE, 3.5G etc) connection. No fancy configurations take place... It's as simple as that.

I Have a Nokia 6303

Oh gosh... What baited you to buy this piece of $hit? No HSDPA, no 3G... Anyways, if it came with a cable and a CD, just install PC suite to be on the safe side. Install software, after installation is done, plug cable to handset. Should auto/self-install drivers etc, after select 'Connect to Internet,' there you are you're set. Now open your Mozilla and browse. For faster download speeds, use IDM, DAP, JDownloader ofcoarse.

Haha another noob... How old are you? Own a laptop and don't know about these things... Anyways you'll be stuck on your GPRS handset at snail's pace speeds.

Mozilla is a web browser; known as Mozilla Firefor... Just like Internet Explorer/Opera. After you've initiated connection with your phone, you can proceed in using the Internet on your PC.

Well theoraticaly, yes... Just change APN in your PC connection to myMTN or internet, so it doesn't tamper with the BB's connection. Make sure first you can purchase it.
