My dad ordered Rain's 5g plan earlier today. We cancelled our 4g plan last month after two years. We selected the 30mbps 5g plan. Problem is that we don't have a UPS yet. He's planning on buying on on the 25th. Meaning we won't have internet during loadshedding(eskomsepush). I was wondering if I can use the 5g sim in my ZTE LTE modem during loadshedding temporarily? Will it work at all? I'm fine with 4g speeds...

Hi @CapeBloke,

Kindly send a private message with the email address linked to the rain profile so that we may assist.

Luckily, Rain doesn't process all cancellations on time, so perhaps you will be billed for the next 6 months ... but that means you will have Internet access for the next six months!!!
Nah, we lost connection on the 1st of September. If they bill us even after the cancellation then they'll have to refund us.

Most likely.

We still have our 4g modem that we used so I was thinking of using that modem for the 5g sim.

For reference, here is the modem: https://www.takealot.com/zte-mifi-router-lte-mf927u/PLID71574954?gad=1
