Rain and storm for Cpt

You are one of those people..!! :/ Make me have to wear shades on days like this...

On a rainy day its forgivable as it can be difficult to see a bike. On a normal summers day it's almost reason for capitol (sp?) punishment.
This must be the first black southeaster in years. Very rare. The last one I can recall was around 2012/13 and those were very wet winters.

I hope you're right, we can do with a properly wet winter.

There are a handful of Black South Easters every season. They do not always develop into significant rainfall events over Cape Town itself, but there have certainly been several in recent years.

Raining heavily in Constantia. Probably been raining a bit before I woke up (7am).

Fearing the M3 today when I have to go to work.

Cape Townian drivers and the rain!!!

Can't miss mine, super bright Orange Light and 2 white spots, you need sunglasses on days like this :)

it is super wet everywhere out there, all the roads are well saturated, us cape tonions drive/ride like dicks in this type of weather, take it easy

Capetonians are slow-thinking hesitant drivers in the dry. They get orders of magnitude worse if there is even one tiny little drop of water from the sky.

Looking at the graphs, if current usage continues and the rain during winter is similar to 2018, then the Cape Town dams will be at least 90% full by the end of winter. Maybe a bit less if it follows the same pattern as 2018 and the water cannot be sufficiently redistributed to prevent overflow.

My word, isn't that a little bit TMI. And that from sitting in traffic on the way to work. You better hope Honey and Geeky don't see this.
LOL, always super dry all the way on the N2 and then as soon as i turn off on the M5 and head towards Paarden Eiland the angle of the rain just gets in everywhere and in seconds entire area is super wet. Every time !
Gotta sit here at my desk with my fan blowing on my nuts for the next 3 hrs to dry my jeans and undies out :laugh: Feet are always dry as i wear gumboots and change into my takkies at work

Loving hearing this rainfall. Will let the traffic die down before heading into the office. Much better way to spend a Monday morning!
