Nice and rainy outside now and I'm totally in the mood for this weather. Hibernating feels appropriate when it's like this.

Been basically living on or very close to my lounge sofa minus the odd trips to realityland and the big, bad world outside for last 2.5 weeks ..
but rain is welcome change, indeed.

Rain all night in Kenilworth. About 40mm in gauge so far (4.30am). Definitely more than I expected, very welcome!

Edit: All gone quiet now (5.45am).

Must be close on 90mm in last 10 hours or so at Dwarsberg/JHK. Gardens/CPT had very decent rain as well. Gonna walk to the Spar in Vredehoek, 7.5km round-trip, nothing quite like a walk after decent rain!

To go for a nice long run at Newlands forest now...Countour path to Kirstenbosch with all the fresh waterfalls and full rivers and that sweet smell in the air. Aaah.....it's nice dreaming.

Jissus now you're talking, i hike up and over Table Mountain every single month, this lockdown is driving me nuts - The Contour Path would be the best place to be right now

Modest inflows (40m^3/sec) into the Berg River Dam.
