This dam always fills first due to its mountain catchment location, and the excess will be pumped into Theewaterskloof soon (Eskom permitting!?)
Where do you start your runs from that you're usually above & around Kirstenbosch side? Or Newlands fire base & run?A lot of water on the mountain today, no chance of keeping dry feet. Descending Skeleton Gorge was a bit spicy

After a brief respite today (Sun 12th), with mild and sunny conditions over Cape Town, another powerful cold-front will brush the SW-Cape overnight (into Mon 13th). This will bring moderate amounts of rain, very strong winds, cold conditions, and further widespread snow, extending into Tues 14th.
This chart shows the tightly spaced isobars, as well as the rain restricted mostly to the SW-Cape only:

thats a bummerTighter the bars, the higher the wind, it's all coming back to me now....
Sadly, I don't think we will get much more rain, reports that we had 21mm this past week..... this is stunning and reflects our average from the 70's.....
Less planes, more rain, makes one think.....![]()
Pretty good outcome for your area though.Tighter the bars, the higher the wind, it's all coming back to me now....
