Yup
And down by me it all goes straight to the sea, I have noticed over the years how our river does not flow as much as it use to. 10 Years ago this river had lots of water all through the year. Do you know how old the Land & Zeezicht dam is?

Pretty small compared to the giant dams:

Edit: There is a flow gauge for the Lourens River, but it peaks at 11m^3/sec, which is has reached several times this week: http://www.dwa.gov.za/Hydrology/Unverified/RTGraph.aspx?Station=G2H044FW&Type=Flow&Rain=N

Ended up being 3 total.

Lower right (main one)
Lower left (not so bad but they were down there so decided to patch it)
Belly (right under the bellybutton).

Was all done via an incision near the bellybutton. Still lekker tender everywhere.
 
i went to Theewatersklood Dam yesterday for the night and the entire mountain range from Villiersdorp, back of Franschhoek and up at Vyeboom was all covered in lots of snow.
We can expect a good run off from that
There is more snow coming tonight
 
Winds definitely started picking up,.... will get stronger by early afternoon with heavy rain forecast stretching into the evening...

yup, when i left at 9am this morning there was no wind until i got to the bridge 5km away, the wind was hectic so i decided to go via Franschhoek instead of crossing the bridge on my bike
The wind here in S/West is also picking up nicely, looks like its going to be an awesome evening tonight, rain should be starting in the next 2hrs
 
was raining nicely and then it bucketed down for 5 minutes, couldnt see a thing out my lounge window, all quiet again

Absolutely bucketing down for a while after lunch in Kenilworth (downwind of Table Mountain). Just recorded 23mm in our gauge. Were large puddles on the lawn, though easing off somewhat.

Significant wind and rain will occur along the southern Cape coast overnight. This will be welcome, since that area has been very dry this winter.

The rest of the week will be relatively dry, though mostly cold and cloudy. Next weekend should be mild and dry. The next significant storm is likely sometime around Mon 24th.
