There was a programme on living in Alaska on CH 155 recently about people living in extreme climates.
I would not complain about a little bit of rain in the Cape if I were you. SA has one of the best climates in the World.

I got a message about this earlier, even though the DWA figures show less than 100% full. Looks like the south-westerly wind and waves are pushing over the wall at the eastern end of the dam. That's one of many reasons I don't use that source for verified information!

Multiple long-range forecasts continue to show a powerful cold front affecting the entire southern half of SA on Wed 30th, with widespread heavy snow over the mountains on Thurs 1st. The exact details may vary, but this is certain to be a significant weather event:
