Rain and storm for Cpt

The SAWS reports widespread but scattered moderate amounts of rain over many provinces in SA during the 24 hours to 8am on Fri 2nd: https://www.weathersa.co.za/images/data/climate/nr_daily_rai.pdf

Highest (in the area covered by this thread) were: Vredendal 21mm, George 18mm, Swellendam 15mm, etc.

Although Voelvlei and Wemmershoek have not quite yet filled, they are more than made up by the Berg River Dam and Theewaterskloof which are currently at 100.9% and 100.5% respectively.
 
Trashed as in wind damage, or flooding, or both?

Mostly wind. We were without power (internet still dead...) for most of the day. I tried to drive to Pniel from Kylemore, but had to turn around as the road was blocked by a massive tree. Just as I tried to get back into Kylemore, a tree fell over and blocked the road...
