WATCH: Cape Town metro hit hardest in province by winter storm

The winter storm conditions in Cape Town show no signs of abating, with very wet and cold weather predicted for the entire week through to Sunday.
The continuous rainfall has seen localised flooding in low-lying areas in the City of Cape Town. This can be expected to worsen over the next few days as rain continues to fall, says James-Brent Styan, spokesperson for Minister of Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning Anton Bredell
The worst affected region at present is the City of Cape Town. In the central and eastern parts of the metro, more than 2 500 structures – including structures that have been erected illegally in wetlands and stormwater ponds – have been flooded.

Finally had a wet run today . Forest is so nice right now...wet paths, full rivers, smells like forest, feels like winter. Take your jacket (and a flask of coffee) & go for a walk.
I must join you one day for a lekker stroll through the Contour Path there over Newlands area.
Just no jogging, please

Ive watched tons of CSI shows to know when the show starts there is always a jogger out and about early in the morning and finds the dead body. Co-incidence? I think not

Yeah might get out there on Saturday. I think a lekker run from Constantia Nek to the blockhouse and back will be magic

Enjoying the wet weather, but ironically, I haven't had running water since Sunday night...

Mofos stole/vandalized some water infrastructure and water meters in my area during the heavy rains.
Damn, maybe look into installing a small JoJo tank if you can, even a 250l one will do, just to at least have flushing water

With the amount of rain still to come I think my hood is going to look like a pool tomorrow morning, it was already flooded in several places this morning.
