Rain and storm for Cpt

It's been raining the whole day in Kenilworth, mostly due to orographic effects near the mountain. Only 3.5mm up to midday, but definitely wetter this afternoon.
If it carries on like this I reckon could hit 10mm+ by the time it's over later this evening.

Lekker place, you must go camp there in summer.
Lots of shade, and you can go pick your own cherrys in the vineyards, very cheap and the kids dig it
I just bought mine from the farmstall before I left as I prefer to sit around the fire and get drunk all day
The owner is a very old guy, Alan, and he walks around at sunset and comes and sits down with all campers and has a lekker quick chat before moving to the next ones. You do not see this type of cool stuff these days anymore anywhere.

Well if it's the guy that came up the road just after 5pm with his two German shepherds then he didn't look too impressed with all the tourists on his farm. Wouldn't blame him being a bit grumpy when the farm gets taken over by tourists every time there's some snow. I tried to greet him as he walked past the car as I also have German shepherds but his face was just like, "don't even talk to me".

I'm sure he's a nice guy outside of these few days.

Most of that lovely snow will be gone soon, I was looking forward to enjoying the view for a few more days. The freezing level is not low enough for furher significant falls. It's currently +5C on SAEON Dwarsberg.

Yes same guy I think, I remembered he had big dogs
LOL
Maybe he doesnt like snow

Had zero rain in Paarden Eiland all day
Rain got me lekker hard on the N2 all the way home
Luckily I suited up all the wet riding gear so I am toasty warm and dry at home now
That was lekker fun

There is a big difference between those chilling in the summer sun, and rampaging snow chasers...

Edit: 16mm in our gauge, and still pouring at 5pm...
Most of the snow chasers were pretty chilled. No pun intended. But the sheer numbers is more the issue.

If you live in ceres you are practically confined to the town for the entire weekend as every trip in and out town is going to take a combined 4 to 5 hours. Same for the farmers.

I live in Somerset West and know what the summer tourist season brings. I stay far away from the beach on weekends and public holidays. Best time for me is after 5pm during the week in Jan and Feb after getting home from work as there's still enough sun out to enjoy the beach.

What a beautiful day in the mother city
I just played my first tennis match with my new boobs...first time I've played in over 9 years, and I didn't have them flapping all over the place
New balls as well?
