Wow, 15mm in our gauge in Kenilworth this morning! Definitely more than I expected, and still a few lingering showers...
Saturday looks like it's going to pour quite a bit for a few hours.. last gasp, and a pretty good one for mid October!

Temp has changed...definitely on cooler side now.

I woke up at 2am and it was raining quite heavily.

It's gotten dark suddenly so it's probably going to start again now.

Still quite warm in CBD & surrounds today. T-shirt weather. Looking forward to rainy run on Saturday tho.

Kasteelspoort? Was meant to go up Kasteelspoort via the pipe track on Saturday morning too.
Starting on Pipe Track at the car park, then 500m before Kasteelspoort, we're going up Diagonal.
Towards Blind Gully, then at +/-500m you turn right and follow the contour around Porcupine Buttress. Then another climb up Porcupine ravine before another right turn at 650m takes you around Jubilee buttress. A final steep climb and you emerge at the top meeting with the path to “Valley of the Red Gods”.

We are coming down Kasteelspoort, then pipe track back to the cars

EDIT: Nevermind, hike is cancelled. It was a massive downpour half an hour ago there in Edgemead and hike leader cancelled

Lekker wet at Killarney today, should be fun to watch :p

Glad I decided not to do the Durbie Dash MTB ride today. Those trails around Durbanville are going to be muddy AF.

Strange weather. Rain, stop, rain, stop etc. Cloudy, clear, cloudy, clear etc.
Tell me about it
I was annoyed our hike leader cancelled, and now 3 minutes ago it bucketed down for 1 minute.
Now its stopped but the wind is picking up

Not a good day for a 7-8hr hike at all
