And the wind just blew over a potplant
Ive had to close my balcony door coz the rain is coming in
It has never done that in the 11 years Ive lived here :unsure: Bizarre wind direction with rain

I sprayed some weedkiller on the stinging nettles infesting my yard and between my pavers and I'm only looking at this thread now after seeing it getting overcast outside. I hope its at least somewhat effective in killing some of it before the poison gets washed away.

That reminds me of a marketing glossy issued by the Wonder Fertilisers years ago.
In it is has this pearl of absolute wisdom.

"Spread the 3-2-1 fertiliser evenly on your lawn just before it rains".

My wife and I did this route "blind" without too much research on it, just read a blog. A good few years ago this was.

But what an adventure?! Tough and fun, I hope you get to do it soon.

Also came down Kasteelspoort.
Must admit my legs were a bit wobbly for the last km back to the car on Pipe Track

Weather doesn't have causes, it just does what it feels like... /s

A trough moving down the Western interior is more common in autumn, but we had nothing like that so far in 2021.

Cape Town itself is cold and windy, and not getting any benefits from the trough.

Not Cape Town, but friend of mine's family farm near Victoria West had 30mm rain overnight. This is the first proper rain in about 8 years and hopefully a turning point where the desert can turn back into farmable land.

Awesome reports and videos of rain all over the interior of the country doing the rounds.

Gordon are these rains this time of the year different from previous years, as i cant remember the weather being this weired this time of the year. Normally im lazing on the beach in the sun

In 2013 this time of the year beginning November we had flooding in Somerset West, my ex lost her car to the floods in Main Road by car drowning, write off. I was in Tankwa Karoo that weekend and we had a drizzle of snow. In November.
