all the Durban people must be so happy they don't have to deal with this cold & rainy weather

The latest figures (8am on Thurs 18th) show the average major dam levels for Cape Town up 1.4% (since Mon 15th) at 77.8%. Today's update (8am on Fri 19th) shows a further increase of 1.5% to an average of 79.3% (up 3.9% since Monday). Theewaterskloof has risen 2.2% (since Monday) to 79.3%. Voelvlei is the slowest to rise, currently (up 1.8%) at 65%.

The Berg River Dam is over 98% full, while the others still have some way to go.

After warm conditions tomorrow (Tues 23rd), some rain (5-10mm) is predicted later this week, with a sharp drop in temperature from Thurs 25th onwards.

Did you just assume that I don't have a preferred pronoun?

I'm guessing at some point we're going to have to stop referring to these events in relation to El Nino and La Nina!
 
more like all night and so far today, its crazy windy
Very strong past Fish Hoek with some gusts that make the roof sound like it's going to be lifting off... been like this for last 24 hours, unabated, set to continue all day...

Probably even stronger along SE coast towards Cape Algulhas from what I read in forecast.
 
the only people taking advantage of this weather would be wind turbines and sailboats and washing hanging out to dry
