Rain and storm for Cpt

Where is this wind and rain that you guys are on about?
 
It's set in nice and thick now over False Bay , pretty hard and consistent rain last 30 minutes , wind also strong, but nothing like expected, yet...
 
Windy AF here but still no rain.
Really hope this does not just blow by south of us again.

Edit: And as I posted it started raining.
Proper end of winter storm, reminds me of the weekend I moved down to Cape Town in 2008.
Light snow all the way from Laingsburg, serious wind and rain this side of the tunnel.

Agreed was the same intense downpour about an hour ago after a brief respite past Glen Cairn, it was thunderous!

Curious where the heaviest of the rain has fallen, no doubt our local rain drop collectors will advise us by tomorrow morning when the storm has passed.
 
The main front has passed, but this storm is far from over. Strong westerly to south westerly winds will be felt until later on Monday, along with widespread showers and cold conditions. Snow is predicted over the high mountains.

About 25mm of rain so far in our gauge in Kenilworth. Bright flash of lightning and loud rumble of thunder at 9:30pm.
