According to the news, PE got lots of rain in a very short period, leaving many roads flooded due to drainage systems being blocked by rubbish. So, the cut off low did its work, just a little bit further south and late. The farm in Hanover got 15 mm as well.

A compact and powerful cold-front will reach the SW-Cape later tomorrow (Wed 24th) bringing widespread heavy rain and cold conditions. Snow is likely over many of the high mountain ranges of the Western and southern Cape later on Thurs 25th.

N.B. Another significant frontal system is due on Sun 28th, though it is too soon to give details.

Hoping to get onto the moutain for a run on Saturday morning before the weather arrives. There is also the Slave Route half marathon on Sunday so good luck to anyone braving Koesister Hill in those conditions!
