YupNot blue skies anymore (12:30pm), very dark and gloomy to the north and east.
Cutoff-lows are different. In this case the South Easter wind will remain blowing over Cape Town for most of the afternoon, drawing warm and humid air into the system. Cold upper air is moving down in a trough from the north, and where the two overlap there will be instability and convection. Thundershowers and rain will occur in places, but not much over Cape Town itself. Rainfall chart for today (Mon 29th).

Im in Paarden Eiland, lemme go outside and have a looksieI'm hearing lots of thunder here in Blouberg
you know the rules! Home time = bucket loads!Yip Thunder now in Goodwood also ... still no water coming down tho![]()
No such thing.Fortunately we are in a period of global warming, so extreme weather means we only need a few rainy days to fill those dams! But let's not talk increasing demand, must be due to elevated temperatures that people drink more water.
The global warming bit? Of course yes, when I walked outside earlier I thought I'd taken a wrong turn and ended in Hell. It's supposed to be winter out there!!No such thing.
