Same here. It's moering down

And my wife just went to get the kids from school. They only have about 50 metres to walk from the admin block to the car, but the way this rain is falling now, they're going to be drenched :(
im loving this rain
glad i took the day off work
might start drinking soon

I'm not prone to exaggeration, but that was one of the heaviest downpours I have seen! I gave my char a lift to Claremont, and we drove through multiple puddles, blocked drains, and half-flooded roads. In a few places water was coming up through manhole covers...

The rain gauge in Kenilworth showed 22mm since this morning. Edit: Another 4mm after lunch.

Canal leading from Claremont towards Rondebosch:

Edit:: Once the clouds lifted, some epic waterfalls became visible on the slopes of Table Mountain!

When was this taken? That poor nissan1400 is soaked inside is all I can see
it cant be too old coz that house with the green roof use to say Penter Venter Properties on it, and the photo is now taken outside his new premises which is 69 Beach Road if i recall correctly. My dad had a business there in the 80s

It seems it rained around Strand. It came down hard, but hardly anything like that. Earlier today, the siren at Rheinmetall Denel sounded loudley as the downpour started, maybe they cancelled something.

I wonder how Victoria is looking like in Somerset West...
Yeah it came down very hard around lunch time here on the Lourensford River
