Mine also went down at midnight, had red light on the router. It started working again at 2am

Rain's "Terms and Conditions" states, inter alia:

11.1.4 Where Rain needs to ensure that all Subscribers have fair and equal use of the Services offered by Rain and to protect the integrity of its network, Rain reserves the right, and will take necessary steps, to prevent improper or excessive usage thereof. The action that Rain may take includes, but is not limited to:
11.1.4.1 limiting throughput; 11.1.4.2preventing or limiting service through specific ports or communication protocols; and/or
11.1.4.3 complete termination of service to Subscribers who grossly abuse the network through improper or excessive usage."

If I read this right it allows rain to recruit new customers and congest their network to the point where you're throttled to 1Mbps and there is not a thing you can do.

No wonder Willem Roos tried to redefine the meaning of umlimited while rain's dl speed declined by a whopping 53% since the lockdown started.

As the saying goes: You can bs some people all of the time and you can bs all people some of the time but you can't bs all the people all of the time.

Went down for the fourth day in a row sometime last night here, damn.

Its pretty simple, you vote with your wallet and cancel the service. Their 4G is basically ibrust at this point and it seems 5G will suffer the same fate.

Some people cannot cancel, they are in a loop of frustration because this is the only service that offers an "unlimited" package, granted it may not be great but its still cheaper than the other services and no Telkom's unlimited option is not an option for me. :X3:

Yes, its down here in Cape Town as well
It happens every so often so what I've been having to do is set up a timer that turns the router off for 3 minutes and then powers it on. Haven't had an issue since besides the terrible speeds.
