Is anyone else getting charged for Peak hours even though their limit is 0? I assumed when it it 18:00 you're cut off but for a few days I've been streaming and downloading stuff without paying much attention to time and I realised I wasn't getting cut off.

You do the uncapped in the middle of the month ?

No. I had had it since November. On December 11 I was given 7 Rain-Days that ended at midnight and today while I was downloading stuff on Netflix, I went past 6pm and it started using Peak data instead of cutting me off.

I don't understand why you think you're "being screwed" when I see "you've been GIVEN 7 Rain days" and "we'll give you a heads up when you're approaching the end"?

Maybe the free unlimited days, not being billed for has left a balance that can be used for peak time.
What does your dashboard show?

Their site is acting bit weird.

My scenario :

A couple of weeks ago I got a sim(unlimmited for R250). Set the off peak data to 0.
A week later, checked and they show R134 for some data used. Think it was like 1.5gig.

This morning, log in and it shows R6 for 12mb used.

So are they going to charge me R6 or R134? All this is happening in the same month in the last 2 weeks.

Yes this happens often after an update on the site. Comes right after a day or so...until the next update.
If you have only unlimited offpeak activated and 0 peak usage set, the max you will get billed is R250.

Have you used the 4g unlimmited deal before commenting this?

Used them before for about a year with no issues(between 150 and 300gig a month). Had really good service and verry little issues with the internet. I'll even get their 5G if we get coverage where I live.

Just noticed their website is a bit weird this month when I got a new sim(Old one got lost a couple of months ago so cancelled that one).

Even though the dashboard is messed up often, the billing has been accurate for me.
I have never been billed for peak usage even when it shows peak usage on my dashboard and invoice.
But I think it is safe to say this is only when you have the R250 uncapped offpeak switched on and no peak usage.

No I never went near RAIN. The fundamental technical model that they use can never be sustained. As soon as too many persons subscribe to their service it will and has collapsed as is evident in some areas. You can't break the basic subscriber capacity relationship and provide the service as advertised.
The BSS platforms clearly have plenty of holes in it, even if those holes never actually materialise as customer invoice. Imagine all the background journal entries that go on to prevent an actual invoice being sent!

mine had -gb amount left and it was just going up, had to set another limit now at 4gb, probably going to be charged for 4gb now.

Ok it allowed me to set the limit to 1gb again, hopefully won't be charged.

Can't access my dashboard since this morning. I get an error.
