Current plan
One plan. R50 per gig
Pay only for what you use at the end of the month

New plan
One plan with unlimited off-peak

Interesting under SIM Management this shows but upon signup did select Unlimited off-peak option. Be warned if you receive a bill shocker....

Hope their accounting system is in real-time don't want any bill shockers..

Spend limits disappeared it seems. At least the sim they scheduled for cancellation seems to have returned to 'active'
Onward to the next SNAFU!

"Live fast, die young. Test in production" should be their slogan!

15 July is going to be plenty interesting...

Used the SIM last night to stream some YouTube - ran "okay" some buffering at 1080p, down to 480p back up again
so far so good.
Pity the coverage in CPT is not so hot in Century City side

So my sim was activated on the 11 or 12 of June. My dashboard still says "enjoying unlimited days".

Have the days been moved to July?

My R120 was also refunded all though I received my sim a few days after ordering.

If you have taken sim only it will be up to the 15th of unlimited this month. Your freebies started 1st July

2 x LTE routers connected to load balancer like the TP link 470 or 480 - then you can set the times for each WAN.

Hello dotcat. Sounds like a marvelous setup. Mind sharing steps on achieving this?. Any YouTube setup video you can direct me to?. Can you achieve similar results with Huawei b315 and b618?

Yes search for "tp link load balance tl r480t+ configuration"

http://techtrickszone.com/2018/03/16/how-to-configure-load-balancing/

To add to this, there are guides for router firmwares like OpenWRT or PFSense that will show you how to set up routing on a protocol level, so that traffic for certain services runs over a particular connection. It's easy to set up, and there are guides for just about everything, from Netflix to PSN to Torrent downloads. It's only one extra step from having multi-WAN load balancing.

Why, because it's the bundus and not a single person besides a farmer calling his tannie ...try a major centre, unlikely to get 1/10 of that.

Have to agree with you on that statement. I was in Lydenburg in less than 1 minute stopping over downloaded firmware update of 600 megs was super impressed but other side of lydenburg noticed 4 meg download speed.

For the most part yes, i deeply suspect this is the case.
Of course there are always exceptions...but for 99% of us in major centres connected to massively overly congested towers it's nowhere near true LTE-A speeds...

p.s go look at my test results I posted a few mins ago in the rain dl test thread...says it all!

Guys

Please go and check you spend limit as mine was set to R8000 yes, R8K. It will take a couple of clicks to get it to R300 though.

I've just decreased it R300 and added the unlimited off peak now.
