Yip, my free days are apparently up till 15th, so have just set my dash to R50 spend for now.
I'm not going to take the R250 /19 hr uncapped option at this point due to issues with speed and general service so far....

Looking around for another alternative.
 
Added the unlimited data add-on, seems like it is starting from tomorrow the 16th.

Wonder if billing will also run from the 16th?

That's what everyone wants to know, or at least prorata this month.

Online chat told me it will be pro rata BUT then I also received an email from Rain customer support saying NO it is a monthly service and if I add it now it will only start from 1 August.

This was their reply

Thank you for contacting rain.

The unlimited off-peak plan is R250 a month and get 19 hours of unlimited data between 11pm and 6pm. Data used during 'peak hours' 6pm - 11pm will be charged at R50 a gig. It is a add on and does have a standard price of R250 a month, If the unlimited off peak plan is taken half way through the month it will only kick in on the 1st of the following month as it is per a month.

You will receive free 15 unlimited data days from rain to use, thereafter you will pay 5 cents a meg R50 a gig If you add on the unlimited off peak data it will kick in on the 1st of the month.

I think if you opted for the R250 unlimited plan when you signed up it will start the next day but if you only signup for the unlimited plan now it will only start on 1 August. Just my 2c.

It seems like the Rain support staff also have different views on it.

i think they will be bill 250 for full month (one time..)

did they repay any of you for your "R120" courier fee?
 
Mine was on my credit card statement.

same.

I see all stats have been reset. I removed my rain sim at 11:58pm last night and this morning all balances reflect 0 data usage. I'll loadup on the 250 at end of month and re-activate then.
