Rain Mobile Feedback Thread

Is anybody in Durban experiencing any issues? Since yesterday, I've been experiencing disconnects. Rebooting doesn't help.
 
I've also noticed that instead of 3ights for reception being lit on my router, there's only one.
 
They charged me R250 even though I turned off uncapped two weeks ago due to slow speeds.

You can query it with them but from what I understand you are being billed for June since it was switched on for some of June. From July, there should be no charge.
 
I’ll have to go look at my bank statement from last year to confirm this. But it would be unusual for an ISP to be post paid with no contract.
My pro-rata billing for June is showing up on the 1 July invoice.
 
Does rain take their money from your card, or must I do a transfer? Sorry, rain noob here.
 
Whatever happened to this new product Rain was going to launch this month when they were supposedly going to do away with the unlimited off-peak option?

Postponed for a couple of months, I think.
 
We only have uncapped, with limit set at R250, and internet banking, rain.co.za and basic whatsapp messages continues to work after 6pm. But I will test it again sometime and make 100% sure.
Are you still able to use banking sites at peak time even with the R250 spend limit on and unlimited off-peak set. If so did you still only get charged R250 at the end of the month or some peak data usage?
 
Having issues with Rain in Durban for the past few hours, sites take ages to resolve the DNS and general slowness to load. Tried both 1800 and 2600 mhz as well as restarting the router.
Switched to ADSL and everything works fine.
