Rain R379 cellphone only package

Cancelled my R250 sim last month and since fibre is going live next month, will be cancelling my R479 sim next month as well.

While I appreciate Rain's attempt to make internet accessible and affordable, the line between poor performance and just an unusable mess is a thin one that Rain often crosses for the worse.

Their problem is the age old one, corporate greed. While their client base was low, they "allowed" unlimited access to bandwidth, knowing full well that when the base grew, they would have to throttle all down to meet their so called Business Plan rules as stated by the CEO.
If the service was always going to be limited to 10 Mbps download, then why allow unlimited access in the first place?
Typical dishonest and misleading business practices.

Look there is still a lot more work that we putting in, especially on the networks side of things. We will continue to improve our network capacity and hope you will consider us in the future, then again you are not committed to any long term contracts with us and so you can always cancel your service at any time.

I must say, I already like whoever is behind this corporate account here more than before, not just automated replies. Looking forward if rain's customer service is getting a good boost.
Or maybe AI has improved.. :) It's still the same old "we will continue to improve" corporate message ...

Chief there is soooo much that actually goes on behind the scenes actually and I understand people's frustration out there and honestly kills me to see so much negativity out there, but we doing massive changes Networks wise customer service the whole deal. So I'm not going to make promises and say what we going to do. I believe actions speak louder than words and so customers will see and feel the change.

what network coverage does it have? Is it piggy backing on another carrier?

Check if you still see the package? Seems like it was removed from the site?
