This doesn't make much sense to me I'll admit. Why not if they can do both bands? I'm fairly sure they'll do 2CA on another network.None of the Huawei router available in SA support CA on RAIN's bands

Someone should tell Rain that.. why not 2CA it...
I guess if they 2CA it , the speeds will go faster than the normal 50mbit.. (think they want to cater for 50mbit.. not 100 or 150mbit)
I gots an S9+ if it can do 100mbit.. i'll be amazed... (but i think rain will speed limit it down to 50mbit on thruput)
I doubt that. You can try it out. Then run this code in the phone app. *#0011# and you will see band 3 and band 38 aggregated.
So if an S8 and S9 can do that. Which modem can also do it ? B618 not apparently.. surely there must be one out there.
looks like i'm not getting Carrier aggregate on my S9+ just band 3.
I got the b618. but obviously it chooses one and stay on that band. Guessing also band3.
Our Huawei B315 router from Afrihost (Rain Fixed LTE I assume) got knocked out by lightning just now.
Any suggestions what I'll be able to get over the next few days?
Doesn't look like Makro / Incredible got in stock by looking at their website. We're in Durban area.
Tested it with the cable from one of my old ADSL routers but still didn't work. So yeah, it's dead. You sure it's not just the plug? If you have a old cellphone charger you can try and see if it works by joining the plug to a usb cable and trying that.
Vodacom stores sell the B315 if you're still looking.Tested it with the cable from one of my old ADSL routers but still didn't work. So yeah, it's dead.
