Rain slow speeds and poor support explained

Wonder whoever still listens to this guy, he just can never admit that Rain has huge issues. Only one probably getting good service is Vodacom.

"Three-star Michelin restaurant" vs "all-you-can eat buffet."

Hahahahahaha!
I watched this when it first aired.

The flaw in Mr Willem Roos's logic is that even at an "all-you-can-eat buffet" the food has to at least be edible at all times, and have seating available for every one of the patrons, unless said restaurant wants a lawsuit on their hands.

I don't have as much angst personally with them since with my setup I'm getting great speeds and service with rain, but the more these articles release the more the sly reasoning gets more ridiculous to support. At least be professional and upfront about your situation, geez.

They offer unlimited data. No other mobile operator does. If you use it, you have to accept the fact that you’ll maybe see degraded performance as almost everyone on their network are subscribed to an unlimited package. If the slow speed is raining on your parade, choose another provider and pay per GB for superior speeds, it is simple.

I complain a lot but truth is there is nothing that can touch this product so I roll with the punches. Technical support received using MyBB forums as a springboard (@rain_mobile @rain_networks) has been excellent. At least in my case.

When I initially joined Rain speeds were very good. I managed between 40-50Mbps. Customer service was also very good. The last year I struggle with speeds that seldom goes above 10Mbps and customer service is terrible. Streaming is a struggle. All the agents seem to read everything off a template and tell you to try stuff that you have told them was done hundreds of times before contacting them.

There is a tower that I can see from my house (about 700 meters) but I can never connect to it. My sim always connects to towers between 1.8 - 2.6km away.

A carbon copy of my experience, but I could not get above 1Mbps after the "Great Unravelling". I was sacrificed at the Altar of Bandwidth Martyrs for Vodacom.

Agreed........**** speeds. I can see them in a bit of trouble once fibre starts rolling out.
