I use less than 100 GB a month and used to get 40 Mbps down, now it’s 2-5 Mbps. So more likely congestion.

I have not yet entered the speed test and i voted them 3 stars when their network sucked lol but i will change it.I'm more surprised why you voted them only 3 stars instead of 5. Your speeds are relatively consistent. Very decent just short of 100Mbps and you pay R250 for unlimited data. You can't even get that in Europe and you voted 3/5....
That said did you enter the speedtest competition on mybroadband?

Ask them to refresh your details in their systems. (mine was down from 95 megs down and 30megs up to 40 megs down and 20megs up) i complained and they sorted it out now back to 80 -95 megs down constant and 28 - 30 megs up.Was wondering if this was a thing but I came to the right place. Since last week I noticed a drop in speeds.
I barely have internet now and even the wife is complaining( so its that bad) I reported it to rain and I got the run around that a should try creating a new APN etc. the lady clearly wasnt understand that yes I have internet but not really. i sent some screenshot but seems like she didnt even want to look at them. at one point it was worse than the screenshot below. Can congestion in my area really be that bad if so then its not worth my time staying on this network
I just spoke to someoone on the customer services side and it was painful. the guy didnt sound like he wanted to help me and was very eager to hang up the phone. he apologised for the delay in response but his tone was not sincere in the least. I know have to wait 24-48 hours for a response and in that time I have to watch paint dry.Ask them to refresh your details in their systems.
